My name is Andrew and I am the Outreach Coordinator for St. Mary’s. In this role, I help build our experience of community, and connect St. Mary’s parish to the greater Kitchener-Waterloo area through existing programs and new partnerships.
I grew up in Bruce County, Ontario, the middle of five children. I went to high school at Sacred Heart in Walkerton, and began to get involved in things like music ministry, community theatre, student council & local politics. I went on to complete a Bachelor’s of Political Science & Business at the University of Waterloo / St. Jerome’s University, and after a couple of years working in the student housing industry in Montreal and Toronto, I’m back in K-W, pursuing a part-time Master of Catholic Thought program at St. Jerome’s University. I also bartend a couple nights a week over at Molly’s Bloom’s Irish Pub in Waterloo.
I have a love of music (everything from Bobby Darin to Elton John to Bruno Mars), movies (James Bond, The Lord of the Rings, A Few Good Men…), and current events / politics (I’m a not-so-secret ‘Royal Watcher’). I’m also a proud uncle to 3 nieces & a nephew (with a new niece or nephew on the way!).
Feel free to get in touch with me if you have new ideas or activities that our parish could explore, or if there are people in your life who may benefit from some of our outreach efforts. My email address is [email protected] I look forward to getting to know you, and seeing our parish grow!
“For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope.” (Jeremiah 29: 11)
